Historically, vendor partnerships have tended to take the form of one company absorbing another. But last week’s announcement between Vocollect Healthcare Systems Inc. and American HealthTech Inc. offers a new wrinkle. Essentially, each partner is bringing a unique strength to the deal that makes both sides prosper. This alliance will link Vocollect’s interactive point-of-care delivery system into American HealthTech’s clinical software and electronic medical record. Going forward, we can expect to see more of these kinds of win-win partnerships in this sector.
