Today is the final day to nominate a female leader for the 2020 McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards at a reduced rate.

Nominations completed today cost $69, but the price increases to $99 per entry tomorrow through Jan. 8.

Through this program, McKnight’s Long-Term Care News and McKnight’s Senior Living recognize female leaders in long-term care and seniors housing who have influenced resident care, inspired their colleagues and helped improve the industry.

Nominations can be made in two categories. The Hall of Honor recognizes candidates serving as the equivalent or vice president or higher who have made a significant impact on their organization or industry. Rising Stars, on the other hand, are age 40 or younger, or have fewer than 15 years of experience in the profession, and have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to the senior housing and care industry.

Candidates can come from the seniors housing and care sector, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and life plan/continuing care retirement communities. Direct care providers, managers, executives, corporate executives and owners are eligible. Those who serve the field indirectly, such as association members and thought leaders, may also apply.

Vendors are not eligible. However, sponsorship opportunities remain.

PointClickCare is the program’s diamond sponsor, and OnShift and PharMerica are silver sponsors.

Winners will be recognized with full coverage at McKnights.com, McKnightsSeniorLiving.com and in our print editions. There will also be awards presentations and a celebration in Chicago in May, where a Lifetime Achievement honoree also will be recognized.
