Taimur Mirza, MD, has been promoted to chief medical officer at ArchCare following the retirement of Walid Michelen, MD.

Mirza began with ArchCare in 2020 as associate medical director and in 2021 was promoted to medical director. In his new position as chief medical officer, he said he hopes to expand academic affiliations with ArchCare’s partner hospitals and improve patient outcomes with innovative practices. 

“I am honored to step into the role of chief medical officer at ArchCare,” Mirza said. “I look forward to advancing our mission by leveraging innovative medical practices and fostering a collaborative environment.” 

Mirza received a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Gulf Medical University in the United Arab Emirates, and completed his internship and residency at Mount Sinai Health System in New York.

Prior to working at ArchCare, he worked as a hospitalist at both Physician Affiliate Group of New York and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He also began working as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine in 2022, according to his Linkedin profile.
