A trade group representing Maryland long-term care facilities is partnering up with a vendor as part of a turnover-reduction effort.

The Health Facilities Association of Maryland selected Straightaway Health Careers to provide training and retention services for member facilities.

The vendor’s CNA Edge program includes tools that help certified nursing assistants  establish career expectations, gain online training and other tools.

“CNAs are the backbone of skilled nursing facilities and the root of quality care. We believe that CNA Edge will be an incredibly valuable resource for our members,” HFAM President Joe DeMattos said in a press release.
