Sentara Life Care has opened an 120-bed facility called the Sentara Rehabilitation & Care Residence.
The “household” design and resident-centered approach makes it the first facility in Virginia to “move beyond a trial phase to full implementation,” the provider said. The new building replaces a 46-year-old facility on the Chesapeake campus.
Among its features are liberalized diet plans, a transitional suite, a “Garden Spring House” for those with dementia and a telemedicine clinic.
