More than three-quarters of cleaning industry professionals said they expected the professional cleaning sector to grow over the next year, according to the 2015 P&G Professional Cleaning Industry Insights Survey.

More than 400 professionals responded across their four sectors, including commercial, food service, hospitality and healthcare.

Among healthcare cleaning managers, 76% said there was extreme or “some” pressure to keep down operating costs, a rise of 11% from last year. Around half said retaining staff and reducing turnover was the way they stayed most efficient in 2015, up 18% from a year before.

While half said products that “get the job done” are the most helpful factor in cleaning, 25% said products that work quickly are the most helpful.

Keeping bathrooms clean was again the top-rated way to maintain customer satisfaction, the respondents noted. The full report can be seen here.
