Pathways has started Pathways Hospice at ManorCare as part of a collaboration between Pathways, El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, CA, and ManorCare.
It offers a new option for area residents and a separate entrance, the company said. Features include leather recliners, a sound system, flat-screen television and other elements to soothe families and patients.
Pathways provided specialized hospice training to all ManorCare nurses and aides who will work with the patients at Pathways Hospice at ManorCare. When symptoms are successfully stabilized, patients may either go home or elect to stay at ManorCare for ongoing hospice care, the company said.
