Sharon Roth Maguire’s dedication to person-centered care has carried through her impressive career of more than 30 years in healthcare and as an educator. The path of that career has taken her to several companies, but her pursuit of the highest level of care quality has been constant. She continues that pursuit today at Iowa-based LCS, where she has advanced to become senior vice president and chief health and wellness officer.

“Sharon has devoted her entire career to serving seniors, and her philosophy and approach to overall well-being and person-centered care have led to many outstanding programs within LCS and many other companies over the years,” said GeLynna Shaw, executive vice president of operations and senior living management at LCS. “The programs Sharon has created to better the lives of seniors will be felt for generations and will impact countless lives.” 

Maguire is an accomplished and award-winning educator as well, spending more than two decades in academia after acquiring her master’s degree in gerontological nursing. As an instructor at Rush University’s College of Nursing, she created the university’s first undergraduate gerontological nursing clinical course. She hss published numerous articles on a variety of topics in professional and industry journals and is a sought-after speaker. 

She also has served on several prestigious boards, including as president of the National Conference of Gerontological Nurse Practitioners.

  • She has been quoted in major national publications such as the New York Times, Forbes and US News & World Report. 
  • She is a member of the board of directors for the Sisters of the Divine Savior, providing insight on care for that order.
