A man allegedly shot and killed his wife in a Texas nursing home before killing himself Thursday morning, police reported.
The incident happened at about 9:17 a.m. at Pine Ridge Health Care, a long-term care nursing facility located in Livingston, according to local CBS affiliate KHOU. When police arrived, nursing home resident Irene Jackson, 78, and her husband Horris Jackson, 82 were found dead, each with a single gunshot wound. No other injuries were reported.
Police have not established a motive and the case remains under investigation, KHOU added.
Pine Ridge is not making any public comments at this time, a spokesman told McKnight’s.
