Organizers of the award-winning McKnight’s Mood of the Market survey are asking readers to spend a few minutes to let them know how you feel about your job, the sector and general LTC state of affairs.

Skilled nursing administrators, nurse managers and other top titles are being asked to take part. All responses are submitted anonymously and will be used only to aggregate final results.

The goal is to paint an accurate picture of what’s keeping nursing home pros awake at night, inspired to do a great job, or both. Last year’s survey results once again illuminated evolving attitude shifts that managers should be aware of to better lead in the post-pandemic era.

The one-of-a-kind “Mood” story package has received Gold medal and other top honors in publishing competitions.

“This is really an outstanding way for administrators and other front-office personnel, including nurse managers, to compare how their views match up with others,’ ” said McKnight’s Editorial Director John O’Connor. “Findings will reveal attitudes about work conditions, job satisfaction, the sector at large, and more. It has helped leaders reflect on and plan their own moves going forward.”

Once results are compiled, McKnight’s editors will analyze the results, conduct supporting interviews with workplace experts, and then publish a series of stories that will appear in the Daily Update newsletter and in McKnight’s Long-Term Care’s print edition.
