Joerns Healthcare has acquired all intellectual property rights for the Dolphin Fluid Immersion Simulation Mattress Systems. The new technology simulates the effects of a body “floating” in a fluid, which alleviates vertical shear forces that can deform soft tissue, Joerns noted.
