Gurwin Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation Center plans to open a 12-bed Advanced Care Unit in early 2019.

The unit will offer sub-acute care specialties and will be staffed by specially trained registered nurses, the provider said. Real-time vital sign data will be shared among caregivers.

“Our new Advanced Care Unit will enhance our ability to care for residents with complex medical needs who do not require an acute care setting,” said Stuart B. Almer, President and CEO of Gurwin. “Area hospitals will also benefit from having a trusted partner caring for their patients. We are excited to add Advanced Care to our growing number of specialty services.”
