Long-term care providers have until Monday’s standard deadline to submit their entries for the 2024 McKnight’s Excellence in Technology Awards. Gaining recognition for your good caregiving practices and systems may never be simpler.

The annual showcase is an opportunity for stakeholders to let us — and their peers around the nation — know what they’re doing right, day in and day out. Submissions don’t have to involve complicated or costly devices or programs.

After the standard deadline July 1 (Monday), entries will require a late fee until the final deadline July 9.

In this year’s expanded contest, providers and vendors have 16 categories in which they may enter. That means there definitely is a place for you to enter, whether you work in a “techy” department or not.

Themed categories from the past, such as Building Bridges, Innovator of the Year, Quality and KISS, remain. There are also new categories covering more specific subject areas such as electronic health records, resident/patient monitoring and safety, medication management, staff scheduling, care planning, falls management, care planning and more.

Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be granted as warranted and winners will be celebrated in person, in print and online.

See McKnightsTechAwards.com for more information about this year’s competition and the entry portal to submit nominations.

Finalists will be announced Aug. 14, with winners unveiled during the virtual McKnight’s Tech Awards + Summit on Oct. 3.

The event’s accompanying virtual summit will offer educational webinars that will enable providers to further their operational successes. Details will be forthcoming about its full agenda.

There also will be opportunities to celebrate winners in person. In addition, victors will be featured in coverage both online and in print. Winners will be recognized across McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Home Care and all their social and traditional media platforms.
