New laws and emerging technology have recently confused many providers about how best to proceed with medication delivery. But the new wrinkles also are presenting new opportunities, notes at least one expert.

Spiro said that one of the pressing needs she sees is for having information move more easily between facilities, physicians and pharmacies.
