The Rhode Island Health Department found all 11 of the nursing homes listed in its first monthly quality of care report cited with deficiencies, according to the department.

Lt. Gov. Charles Fogarty instigated the monthly reports after Hillside Health Center in Providence closed in May due to deficient care, according to local media coverage. Fogarty thought the state too slow to correct problems and thus gathered the task force to start monthly reports.

The one-page report, released on Wednesday, cited all 11 nursing homes with deficiencies without specific reasons.

The nursing homes must now submit plans for correction to be approved by the state department, which will then conduct follow-up surveys.
