Long-term care stakeholders will not want to miss the inaugural McKnight’s “Meeting of the Minds” event Thursday (June 27), which features expert-laden webinars on two of the hottest issues in long-term care today: Staffing and the benefits of artificial intelligence.

Registration is complimentary for the webinars, which take place at 10:30 a.m. ET and 12 noon ET.

Executives from top senior care companies will present what’s working best for them and their organizations, giving attendees actionable takeaways from each session. In addition, marketplace experts will provide added perspective to bring the topics into greater focus.

“This is an incredible gathering of leaders that will give attendees plenty of new ideas and things to think about,” said McKnight’s Editorial Director John O’Connor. “This will take some vital topics to the next level. I encourage anyone tied to long-term care to check it out.”

“How AI is changing this field now – and tomorrow” will explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on long-term care. AI can revolutionize care delivery and operational efficiency. This will go well beyond the typical theoretical talk about AI in our midst today.

The expert panel will consist of:

  • Scott Code, Vice President at LeadingAge CAST
  • Brian Geyser, APRN-BC, MSN, Vice President, Health & Wellness at Maplewood Senior Living and Inspir Senior Living
  • Don Glidewell, Founder of Blue Purpose
  • Donald F. Breneman, Chief Operating Officer at Juniper Communities

Attendees will get insights into cutting-edge research and future AI applications, from advanced robotics in caregiving to AI-driven diagnostics and treatment plans.

The second session will be “Staffing solutions in a post-COVID world.” It will bring the freshest look at one of the most critical issues in long-term care: finding, building and preserving a high-quality workforce.

The featured speakers will be:

  • Sarah Friede, MBA, Senior Vice President of Recruitment Services, Health Dimensions Group
  • Anthony Scarpino, Vice President, Talent Acquisition at National Healthcare Associates
  • Dana Ullom-Vucelich, Chief Human Resources Officer, Ohio Living
  • Mark Stoever, Chief Executive Officer at Smartlinx
  • Navin Gupta, CEO at Viventium

Among the topics to be covered are recruitment strategies for a new era; retaining staff through enhanced support and benefits; leveraging technology to support the workforce; training and development in the post-COVID landscape; and creating a positive work environment.
