Many of the best and brightest in long-term and post-acute care will take part in the 2010 LTPAC health information technology summit Monday and Tuesday in Baltimore. The annual meeting of the minds also will delve into the advancement of electronic health records.

The keynote speaker this year will be Eric Dishman, an Intel Fellow and director of health innovation and policy for Intel’s Digital Health Group. The summit will cover standards, research, updates on industry initiatives, research, vendor interaction and more. Fourteen continuing education units for professionals will be available. The conference is supported by major nursing home and assisted living associations, as well as groups representing nursing home physicians, pharmacists and others.
