Catholic provider opens virtual clinic

Saint Thomas Health, a part of Ascension, has opened Saint Thomas Health on Demand, a new virtual clinic.

Tennessee patients can receive services via a smartphone, tablet or computer. They pay a flat fee of $49 for urgent care services, and can make a follow-up appointment at any Saint Thomas Medical Partners location in middle Tennessee.

Saint Thomas Health On Demand is built on Carena’s Virtual Clinic Platform, which includes software, staffing and operations services, the company said. It is integrated into the provider’s’ clinic-based care delivery, and allows current patients to stay in-network.
