Healthcare-related information technology emerged as a big winner in President Obama’s federal budget proposal, which was revealed earlier this week. The $3.8 trillion spending plan includes $110 million to bolster healthcare IT policy coordination and research activities. The president is also seeking $78 million for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.
