Beds can be a breeding ground for germs, but one product maker is aiming to make that a fact of the past.
Safe Haven Linens offers what it says are “germ-killing bed lines” that are ideal for use in long-term care facilities. The “self-sanitizing” sheets, as the company calls them, are bound with a special lining that defends against germs, without ever washing out. Free of chemicals, they can also help address residents’ complexion and other bacteria-borne conditions.
Its parent company, Mars Hill, NC-based Beacon Linens, just announced a partnership with Cancer Horizons, a website dedicated to individuals suffering with cancer. Through that partnership, the linens company is providing cancer patients with a 30% discount on the germ-killing sheets, according to a Tuesday announcement.
