Baxter International hastemporarily halted production of certain heparin vials amid reports of seriousadverse reactions to the widely used, injectable blood thinner. Baxter has notbroadened a prior recall of heparin, however. Baxter sells about 100,000 vialsof the generic prescription drug each day.
