Telehealth provider MediTelecare has designed a new tool meant exclusively for frontline nursing home staff ranging from nursing staff to social workers to physicians.

Healthcare workers can access MediStaffCare video care when and where it is safe and convenient for them. Such sessions can minimize the risk of office visits during the coronavirus outbreak, while allowing staff to address their own wellness needs with mental health providers who understand the struggles they face on a daily basis.

MediStaffCare provides for the following:

  • A secure telehealth platform
  • Supportive psychotherapy with qualified clinical psychologists and social workers who have expert knowledge of the skilled nursing industry
  • Private sessions made easily available through a home computer
  • MediTelecare will contract with the facility’s insurance carrier and is credentialed with most major panels

“In these uncertain times, it’s important that we not only care for residents but for the staff that provides essential care to them,” said CEO Ed Mercadante. “We are especially concerned for our colleagues on the frontlines and hope that by increasing access to telehealth, these individuals will get the help they need to continue providing care for their residents.”

MediTelecare’s clinical team consists of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists and clinical social workers providing behavioral telehealth services to approximately 20,000 residents in over 250 skilled nursing facilities across 16 states.
