Matthew Lessig, former administrator of the Gulf Coast Medical Center Skilled Nursing unit, has been appointed administrator of The Lodge at Cypress Cove.
The Lodge offers 64 private suites on the Lodge’s 48-acre Southwest Florida campus.
Lessig previously spent seven years at Lee Health and played an instrumental role in the design and start-up of the Gulf Coast Medical Center Skilled Nursing unit. Prior to his role at Gulf Coast, he served in several assistant administrative positions within the Lee Health system.
He graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a bachelor’s degree in business management. Lessig is president of Florida Health Care Association District XVI.
“We are extremely pleased to have an individual with such experience and credentials,” added Ficker. “He strongly believes in the concept of person-centered care and in developing interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care.”
