Long-term care occupational therapists received a higher annual percent increase than physical therapists in 2019, according to a new report.

Occupational therapists received an average annual percent increase of 2.46%, while physical therapists saw an increase of 2.38% and speech language pathologists 2.4%.

All figures come from the 2019-2020 Rehabilitation Salary & Benefits Report, which was released Thursday by the Hospital & Health Care Compensation Service.

Hourly salaries for physical therapists were higher when compared to the others. Physical therapists average $43.17 hourly nationwide. SLPs rose to an average of $41 per hour, while occupational therapists had an average $40.79 per hour.

More than 3,000 long-term care, hospitals and home health agencies participated in the study. The report featured data from 1,858 LTC facilities between July 2018 and June 2019.
