Tarkett’s new Corporate Social & Environmental Responsibility report, audited by a third-party group, reflects the company’s sustainability commitment, the company said.
The report includes how the company reduced its environmental footprint in 2018, such as 97% of our flooring has low levels of volatile organic compound emissions. By the end of 2018, all of its vinyl production sites in Europe, North America, Serbia and China used non-phthalate plasticizer technology in flooring.
Additionally, 134,000 tons of Tarkett’s recycled materials are now used as raw materials, representing 10% of the volume of purchased raw materials.
Through Tarkett Cares, the company encouraged all employees to spend up to two days per year of their work time on charity initiatives.
