Heather Frahm

Heather Frahm has joined the senior leadership team at Benchmark as its chief marketing officer.

Benchmark, based in Waltham, MA, is a senior housing provider with 58 communities.

Frahm co-founded Boston-based Catalyst, a search engine marketing firm specializing in serving Fortune 500 companies, in 1998.

Eight years later, the team sold the company to a subsidiary of global ad conglomerate WPP, with Frahm serving as president until 2013.

Before Catalyst, Frahm was an assistant vice president for Bank Boston’s commercial lending financial institutions group and was a member of its internet marketing team. She also held positions at State Street Bank and Trust, Donaldson Lufkin, & Jenrette, and Goldman Financial Group.

Frahm graduated from Hartwick College and from Boston College with an MBA in finance.

She and her family live in Boston, where she will run the Boston Marathon on April 15 in memory of her late mother, the company said.

“After helping care for my own mother, I have a deep appreciation for the work that Benchmark does and for Tom as a fellow entrepreneur,” said Frahm. “Benchmark’s mission, to keep its residents, families and associates connected to what’s meaningful and possible at every stage of life, is one that changes lives, and I look forward to helping fulfill that mission by touching even more people in the months and years to come.”
