Results of a new customer satisfaction survey indicate most residents and family members of residents in nursing homes are satisfied with their facility.
In fact, 83% of the approximately 70,000 respondents to the survey from research company My InnerView, Inc., Wausau, WI, said their nursing home was “excellent” or “good.” Only 3.4% rated their overall satisfaction as “poor.” In addition, 82% of the respondents said they would recommend the facility to others as “excellent” or “good.”
The 2005 data was collected from 2,224 nursing homes nationwide. A report highlights major findings regarding how long-term care residents and their families assess the quality of life, quality of care and quality of service provided in the nursing home.
My Innerview serves 4,000 long-term care clients around the country and funded the nationwide customer satisfaction survey on its own, without provider support, according to company officials.
