Now in its 10th year of competition, the National Senior League announced it will feature 260 teams representing 81 communities in its 2018 Fall Championship series.

Two of the participants are 101 years old, and another two are 100 years old.

John Bates, 92, of Eagle Crest in Onalaska, WI, is a Guinness World Record Holder with 20,000 perfect (300-pin) games.

Other notable participants include Marquette Senior Living of Indianapolis, which has six teams competing in the NSL.  Covenant Village of Colorado of Westminster, CO, a long time participant in the NSL, has 11 teams in the league.

“Our numbers have remained steady for the past three or four years,” said NSL founder and Commissioner Dennis Berkholtz, who started the league in September 2009. “Because of our success, we’re hoping to expand our footprint by creating an annual Wii Bowling Senior OPEN National Championship, as well as developing an internet broadcast channel that will maximize exposure about the life and joys of senior living.”
