Guardian Pharmacy Services announced it had secured $60 million in financing to invest in new automation and expand corporate support in its Atlanta headquarters, the company said.

The financing is through Regions Bank. Guardian is currently the third-largest LTC pharmacy provider in the US. It has added 13 locations in 11 states in the past five years.

Guardian currently has more than 2,000 employees.

Plans include updates of technologies for local pharmacies, including reducing the time to package, sort and deliver medications.

“Our mission has been the same since day one: to empower our local partner pharmacies to help them better serve their LTC communities and residents,” said Fred Burke, CEO and co-founder of Guardian Pharmacy Services. “Our portfolio growth, as well as the overall trust and satisfaction of the communities and residents we serve, is validation that our hard work and clear focus is paying off.”
