StoneGate Senior Living is strengthening its portfolio, with the addition of eight facilities in the Sooner State.

The Lewisville, TX, company — which provides support services to senior care and senior living properties in three states — says it has plans to make “substantial” investments in the eight new properties, bolstering both the physical plants and IT infrastructure. It’s also looking to improve market presence by forming strategic partnerships and conducting community outreach.

StoneGate, which also has facilities in Texas and Colorado, already contracts with 13 properties in Oklahoma, including 11 SNFs, and two assisted living communities. The eight new properties, three of which are in OKC, are part of SouthwestHealthcare, which is led by Denver MCcormick.

“We are excited to announce our involvement with the Southwest Healthcare properties,” John Paul Taylor, COO of StoneGate Senior Living, said in a company announcement. “As an Oklahoma native, as is our CEO, we have known Denver McCormick for many years and have always appreciated the manner in which he and the Southwest team have cared for the senior population. We will strive to follow in his footsteps with our involvement in his properties and hope to continue the legacy and success.”
