A new course, offered by an established educator in the long-term care space, aims to further providers’ leadership acumen in dementia care.
The Erickson School at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, recently announced courses covering “leadership in dementia care,” which will take place on April 27 and 28, as well as June 14 and 15. The classes will be offered in a “hybrid model” of learning, which incorporates in-person classes, virtual coursework and team-based project work. It’s geared toward nursing home administrators, directors of nursing and nursing home administrators, among others, according to the announcement.
Peter V. Rabins, M.D., MPH, professor and director of research in the Erickson School at UBMC, and Judah Ronch, Ph.D., dean and professor of practice at the Erickson School, will teach the classes.
