McKesson Medical-Surgical plans to be the exclusive distributor of a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments-waived CBC analyzer developed to deliver common blood test results in as few as three minutes.
McKesson will be the exclusive distribution partner for Sysmex’s XW-100 automated hematology analyzer.
While geared toward primary care, Sysmex also noted its applicability for urgent care and health systems.

The instrument has step-by-step guided prompts and instructions and operational safety checks. The XW-100 is “the culmination of a rigorous multi-year research, development and testing effort to develop a high-quality hematology analyzer able to deliver accurate and reliable results in a CLIA-waived primary care setting,” the company said.
A full launch is expected this spring.
