Aphena Pharma Solutions announced it has expanded its solid-dose packaging operations in Cookeville, TN. The expansion doubled the size of the facility, increasing manufacturing and warehouse space, and DEA storage capacity.

Its capabilities now include bottle packaging, blister packaging, secondary packaging and other options. In total, the Tennessee location covers 135,000 square feet and has 25 production lines related to packaging services.

“Our objective is to continue to build upon the current industry need for newly approved branded or generic drugs as well as compliance with new federal laws around serialization requirements,” said Eric Allen, Aphena’s corporate vice president – sales and marketing.

In addition to manufacturing and repackaging for the pharmaceutical industry, Aphena handles solid dose, liquid, ointments, foams, suspensions and lotions.
