Providers will receive cutting-edge information from national experts and regulators at the 2017 ASCP forum, “Empowering Pharmacists to Go Beyond,” which will take play May 3-4 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA.

Congress’ only pharmacist, Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) will be the keynote speaker at a welcoming reception the night of May 3. He will discuss the significance of medication therapy management in transitions of care, as well as the critical role pharmacists play in care transitions.

American Society of Consultant Pharmacists forum attendees also will hear the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service’s vision for medication reconciliation and the expected role of their contractors. In addition, attendees will gain deeper understanding of how the IMPACT Act is changing the way pharmacists recommendations will be communicated.
