The annual meeting of the Education in Palliative and End-of-Life-Care program takes place Sept. 8-10 at the Omni Hotel in Chicago. Two days of trainer training will precede a professional development workshop.

Communication skills, symptom management and ethics relevant to palliative care will be among the topics covered for trainers. Individuals not already certified will earn EPEC Trainer designation by the end of the conference.

The professional development portion is for trainers who want to enhance their teaching and leadership skills. Instructors will familiarize participants with the theory and practice of adult learning, and clinical practice improvement.
