With long-term care’s need for automation growing, JMS Senior Living CEO Ben Scheulen thought it was time to update his company’s paper-based system. It invested in American HealthTech in November.

AHT allows Scheulen’s facilities to access all of their medical records, financial reports and accounting software through one computer system. It also keeps track of old charts and audits, making it easier to institute effective changes efficiently, JMS clinical director Heather Bax says.

Scheulen and Bax say the biggest benefit is that everything is fully integrated into one system. The two can monitor each building from their headquarters — four hours away.  That makes it easier to oversee the company’s 14 facilities.

“AHT has helped us along the way to do everything we need,” Scheulen says. “They offer the full-range package with hands-on training and troubleshooting.”
