Caring.com announced its 10 “Caring Champion” award winners yesterday, which included caregivers who work in assisted living facilities and Continuing Care Retirement Communities.
Selena Brown, who works at Rest Assured Nursing in Marina Del Rey, CA and is a U.S. Army veteran, was the top winner, and received $500. The nine runners-up each received $100.
Caring.com launched the contest in June and asked visitors to cast votes for their favorites through social media buttons before judges made a final decision.
The other award winners were Charity Ntim of Homewatch CareGivers, Northbrook, IL; Cathy Miller of Emeritus Senior Living, Woodstock, GA; Maria Steider of Aspen House, Loveland, CO; Joseph O’Kelley II of Home Instead Senior Care, Huntsville, AL; Eve Barnett of Seniority Lifecare at Home, Sonora, CA; Abby Schroeder of Boardman Lake Glens, Traverse City, MI; Bunny Curry of Azura Memory Care, Eau Claire, WI; Dawn Lamb of Roland Park Place, Baltimore, MD; and Dorothy Boozer of Autumn Cove Retirement Community, Anniston, AL.
