The new survey process can be a “win-win” that leads to better care in nursing homes. So claimed Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson, who is the incoming president of the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). He made these comments while speaking at Medline Industries Inc.’s second annual Long-Term Care Quality Summit, which was held in New York City. Parkinson noted that while providers, regulators and advocacy organizations are often add odds, each stakeholder wants better quality to occur. Event highlights can be seen at the firm’s website.
