PharMerica Corporation announced that the firm leads the long-term care pharmacy industry in generic medication dispensing, with a rate of over 75%. The company’s generic dispensing rate is on track to exceed 80% by 2013. There are 15 major drugs that will lose patent protections by 2013, which will result in more generics in the marketplace, the firm notes.
