The technology companies Vocollect Healthcare Systems Inc. and American HealthTech Inc. have formed an alliance to help long-term care clients develop more unified electronic medical records. The systems will share resident information about admissions, discharges and transfers, as well as the minimum data set (MDS), including MDS 3.0 as it develops, the companies said this week. Vocollect’s AccuNurse is a voice-assisted caregiver product for charting and other activities. American HealthTech offers fully integrated clinical and financial software solutions. “Through the alliance with AccuNurse, our clients can now interface with our integrated clinical and financial solutions with a true hands-free point-of-care technology,” said Bill Caldwell, chief executive officer of American HealthTech. “Everybody wins.”
