The effects of congressional proposals on long-term care residents and their caregivers will be put under the microscope Monday at the Fourth Annual Long Term Care Symposium in Washington.

The symposium will include more than 100 long-term care stakeholders and professionals, as well as key staff members for five influential members of Congress.

Moderating the event will be Howard Gleckman, a senior research associate at the Urban Institute. Gleckman will oversee the two-panel forum, which will evoke “a wide-ranging discussion about the intersection of healthcare reform and long term care” at the Russell Senate Office Building, say event organizers from Genworth Financial.
