Registration is underway for the NIC annual conference, which takes place Sept. 23-25 in Washington. National news figures headline the speakers docket, while the usual array educational and networking sessions also will be featured.

NBC News Chief Political Analyst Chuck Todd and former Secretary of Health and Human Services Mike Leavitt will command interest at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, with their session titled “Election 2024: Political implications for senior living.”

Diane Swonk, chief economist for global auditing firm KPMG, will be the featured speaker for the “Economic outlook for senior living” keynote presentation starting at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 24.

The National Investment Center for Seniors Housing and Care (NIC) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support access and choice for America’s seniors by providing data, analytics, and connections that bring together investors and providers.

The NIC fall conference is the group’s biggest gathering of the year, with an expected 3,000 or more investors, operators, lenders and other affiliated top execs in the senior care, senior living and associated fields coming together.

Conference speakers will share the latest information on the state of the industry, the economy, and capital market trends, as well as evidence-based solutions and concrete operational strategies.

Building middle market offerings, harnessing technological possibilities, building better caregiving teams and an examination of the capital markets as they pertain to seniors housing and care will be the themes of multiple presentations.

In addition, there will be numerous networking opportunities and evening receptions at which attendees will be able to extend their collection of professional contacts.

“For decades, data, connections, and insights from NIC have fueled investors, owners, and operators to adopt new strategies or adapt existing practices to changing times,” organizers note in conference materials.

All conference events will take place at the Marriott Marquis Washington D.C. hotel. The event website has full information on the conference, including how to register.
