Lisa King didn’t start her career in healthcare, but she has made a remarkable impact in the sector since her arrival.

King got her start in the staffing industry. Far from being a hands-off manager or consultant figure, she often could be found on the ground with the people she was helping recruit for. That dedication to truly understanding people, jobs and systems proved to be an invaluable asset when she joined the elder care sector.

Although she started as a staffing director, she quickly rose up the ranks to become regional vice president of All Ways Caring HomeCare. Her passion for learning the job and getting to know the challenges faced by her team proved to be an excellent match for her new role. King demonstrates both the intelligence and strategic mindset and a genuine care and person-centered ethic that are necessary to be a truly noteworthy leader in healthcare, according to her colleagues. Her willingness to ask difficult questions, but always with the best interests of her team in mind, helped affect the work culture at All Ways Caring.

“Lisa continues to demonstrate that she is a woman of distinction through her career and personal work as an individual, team member and leader,” her nominator said. “She is a tremendous role model for other woman leaders, as evidenced by her willingness to serve and assist others in their personal and professional development, which has contributed to the success and continued growth of others.
