Gabrielle Genauer is vice president and general counsel at The New Jewish Home — part of the organization’s five-person executive leadership team. She’s known throughout TNJH for her expertise and also for her dedication and optimism. Already filling a role that requires exceptional knowledge and attention to detail, Genauer also frequently steps into an active role on the ground at facilities, as an administrator on duty on weekends.

Genauer has an unusual knack for earning the respect of both high-ranking business and legal leaders and the employees that keep TNJH running day-to-day, according to colleagues. Her approachable and caring nature also has made a difference for residents and their families.

Genauer’s leadership has helped navigate TNJH through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as steer the organization into the complex and shifting business and regulatory environment since.

“Gabrielle’s guidance and counsel is truly invaluable to The New Jewish Home,” said Jeffrey Farber, president and CEO of TNJH. “Integral to my senior leadership team and to our board, Gabrielle is the one we all turn to for strategic insight. She brings sharp intelligence and skillful command to her role as vice president and general counsel. As a leader who carries a great deal on her shoulders, she still finds a way to meaningfully connect with our staff, residents and their families, making her beloved throughout The New Jewish Home.”
