After she graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a degree in public relations, Mary Cate Spires’ career path could have been described as nomadic. But in 2019, she found her own home sweet home at The Arbor Company, where she is vice president of digital marketing and strategy after first working as a consultant.

Spires’ ascent at the organization has been nothing short of remarkable. She has won several internal awards for excellence in marketing, has spoken at countless industry conventions, and has served on multiple expert panels educating attendees about digital marketing in senior living and care. Not only has her marketing expertise been crucial to the continued success of The Arbor Company; her capabilities as a leader have served the organization well, too.

“While her excellence in marketing ideas is unsurpassed, what I think specifically sets her apart from anyone else is her innate ability to understand, respond to and mentor everyone that she comes in contact with,” her nominator said. “She has successfully put together a team of some of the most amazing women I’ve ever had the privilege to work with. All smart, capable, amazing women that may otherwise be overlooked in the workforce when looked at strictly on a piece of paper. We have women on the marketing team from all walks of life in all parts of the country that are inherently extraordinary.”
