Jessie Bosshard’s journey in the aging services industry began in high school when she became a certified nursing assistant. Her passion for the field, however, was ignited when she was introduced to Givens Estates as an intern on the human resources team while pursuing her undergraduate studies in economics and public health.

Her career would carry her to opportunities at other organizations, but she always had a special place in her heart for Givens Estates. Today, Bosshard is the executive director of Givens Home First, which provides home care, home modifications, enhanced living and community nursing services.

Her list of accomplishments since returning to Givens includes introducing the aging in place program and associated roles, facilitating team expansion through the recruitment of new members, and developing the life plan community nurse program, extending care quality to two life plan communities. It is safe to say her hard work has not gone unnoticed.

“In her capacity as the executive director of Givens Home First, Jessie actively shapes the future of home- and communitybased services, propelled by a steadfast commitment to revolutionizing the aging experience,” her nominators said. “Her passion, diverse background and tangible contributions not only set her apart but also have positioned her as an exceptional candidate for the McKnights Women of Distinction 2024 Rising Stars, highlighting her as a trailblazer in the field of aging services.”
