Employers in the healthcare sector have a new perk to offer frontline employees: membership to a babysitting app.
The Swishboom babysitting app is providing 25,000 annual memberships to give away to healthcare workers. Swishboom launched last summer and provides a back-up childcare plan for workers in the event schools suddenly close, due to COVID-19 or other reasons. It has already helped workers schedule hundreds of hours of childcare and remote learning support.
The mobile app connects families with Swishboom’s network to schedule babysitters who have been sourced and vetted using referrals from people users know and trust. This cuts through the wait time in background checks and allows families to leverage their relationships to schedule their childcare and remote learning jobs quickly.
