GF Health Products, also known as Graham-Field, has acquired a substantial share of Gendron, one of the country’s leading designers and manufacturers of mobile patient management.
Gendron specializes in bariatric beds, mobility, seating, transfer and transport for long-term care, home care, rehabilitation and acute care.
“This acquisition will further allow Graham-Field to provide an integrated system of products to assist in the care of the bariatric patient and resident,” said Ken Spett, president and CEO of Graham-Field. “The acquisition will also expand our ‘Made in USA’ strategic initiative and will enhance the market potential of Graham-Field’s existing Lumex, Everest & Jennings, Basic American Medical Products Hausted and Intensa products.”
Graham-Field’s Wisconsin steel fabrication complex and Gwinnett County, Georgia medical upholstery, assembly and distribution facility will begin producing the Gendron portfolio of bariatric equipment. The purchase of Gendron is Graham-Field’s fourth acquisition of a USA medical equipment manufacturer within the past eight years.
